Cooking Classes: This type of program arranges seminars for a short period of time. Normally the duration of such seminars may last 2 days to 2 months. No certificate or diploma is awarded in cooking classes. This type of course is suitable for professional cooks who want to learn something extra.

1. First find out if the culinary school which you wish to join is accredited. An accredited school gives you an added advantage.

2. Compare the course descriptions with the curriculum.

3. Check whether your interests in cuisine correspond with the cuisine focus of the culinary schools.

4. Check out the fee structure.

5. Visit the school and observe the culinary courses in action.

6. Interact with current students and faculty members and mark the student-faculty ratio.

7. Find out about flexibility in class schedules and whether you are comfortable with it.
