Types of programs in Culinary Arts are: 1. Diploma & Certificate Program: Culinary courses Diploma & Certificate program duration is 1 month to 2 years. There is no prerequisite degree required to do this program. This program teaches students Pastry & Baking, Culinary Arts Hospitality, and Hotel & Restaurant Management. 2. Associate’s Program: Associate’s degree program duration is 9 months to 2 years. Prerequisite degrees required by students are high school diploma or GED. This program teaches students Food Science, Viticulture, Culinary Arts, and Culinary Management. 3. Bachelor's Program: Bachelor’s degree program duration is 4 years. Prerequisite degrees required by students are high school diploma or GED. This program teaches students Pastry & Baking, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Management, and Wine Studies. 4. Master's Program: Master’s degree program duration is 2 years. Prerequisite degree required by students is BA from an accredited university. This program teaches students Hospitality Management, Food Science, Food Studies, Nutrition / Dietetics, Gastronomy.
5. Doctorate Program: Doctorate degree program duration is 4 years to 6 years. Prerequisite degree required by students is BA from an accredited university. This program teaches students Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Studies. The courses mentioned below are taken in culinary schools and completed under above programs.
